Started with typical horror cringe beginning ended up being a masterful story telling of the flaws of Chinese feudal society that led to a family tragedy and the aftermath. Even as a horror fan, I was about to stop watching it for like half an hour everything felt so out place, plot seemed to be getting side tracked meaninglessly glad i didn’ actually stop once you go through first half the later part would stitch these all together and you would love it. All in all very cleverly made, good acting, soundtrack i mean everything is relatively fine in “Chinese standard”. A Good “horror” movie to watch.Helpful•0

deceptive way of story telling but not the worst movie
Started with typical horror cringe beginning ended up being a masterful story telling of the flaws of Chinese feudal society that led to a family tragedy and the aftermath.
